2012 Concert Season

Artistic Director &
Principal Conductor:
Robert Chasey

Composer in Residence: Ivor Hodgson

Choral Director: John Powell

Leader: Helen Brackley Jones

open quoteDear Friends,

This season could well be described as old chums in new clothes! David Greed plays Shostakovich’s 1st Violin concerto, Peter Donohoe returns with the piece that brought him such success in the 1982 Tchaikovsky competition and our own Composer in Residence, Ivor Hodgson, brings his ballet "1984". The choral gala will without doubt forge exciting new partnerships, and epic symphonies from Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Bruckner go to make a fantastic season of great music.

Please come and join us! close quote
