We also perform a dramatic overture by the British composer Malcolm Arnold depicting the tragic events of Manchester’s Peterloo massacre in 1819 and complete the programme with the Irish melody inspired Flute Concerto by member of the orchestra Geraldine Green with our co-principal flute Julie Leach playing the solo.
